Curriculum
The foundational curriculum for Pineywoods Community Academy is the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS). A link to the TEKS can be found here.
Students in grades 3-10 are tested on the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS), which is the assessment instrument created by the state to measure student progress towards mastery of the TEKS. A link to TAKS resources can be found here.
The Academic Excellence Indicator System (AEIS) is the state database for information regarding performance on the TAKS test, as well as information regarding additional performance indicators, attendance rate, retention rate, class size, and a fiscal summary.
